When somebody's dream becomes a vector of sustainable development, an artistic and cultural platform for social purpose and a creative hub… that dream is Djebli Club and the dreamer is Allae Hammioui!
Djebli Club is a project that advocates for humanity, return to basics, respect of the nature we belong to and "sharing" as an essential value of the "living together" .
A participatory and ecological inn and an artistic, cultural and social platform. This initiative aims to:
- Facilitate the access of art and knowledge to the isolated populations.
- Create a space of creativity and a laboratory of ideas for local com munities.
- Enjoy a healthy and sustainable lif estyle in total harmony with nature.
- Invite people to share their knowledge and personal skills with locals.
Djebli club is based in Mokrisset, a mountainous region of 44 tribes. Its inhabitants have remained faithful to their traditions, passing on their culture and know-how from generation to another. Local products there are mainly derived from the land's wealth, agriculture and rearing. Famous for its honey, figs, plums, olives, olive oil and aromatic herbs, these products are of an exceptional quality, but it remains modest. Mokrisset has also a strong tourism potential that is largely untapped.
Djebli Club has the ambition to create a bridge between the region of Mokrisset, as completely isolated from the cultural scene area, and the rest of the world through multiple and diverse range of activities. The goal here is to enable marginalized youth with life skills and soft skills tools through artistic, cultural and an ecofriendly approach in order to prepare them to adulthood, to widen their perspectives and to allow them to live a unique experience they wouldn't of had access to due to limited resources.
